Join us for a fun day in San Francisco! We'll begin our adventure by volunteering for a few hours at an SF food bank and then enjoy lunch and afternoon shopping at the Ferry Building Marketplace - you won't want to miss this.

Saturday, March 24th
7:45am meet at VBC (We'll load up into the church vans and carpool into the city - you can nap during the drive if you'd like.)

Cost: $5 (for gas) plus you'll need lunch money (or a snack lunch).
You may also enjoy bringing a water bottle with you.

Spots for this event are limited - which means we need you to sign up. Please contact Cynthia Stafford @ 426-0081 or GCowStafford@sbcglobal.net.

Some Food Bank Details:
Our shift at the food bank is from 9am-12pm.
Some notes regarding attire...
  • Closed-toe shoes are required at all volunteer projects. Anyone wearing sandals, flipflops, or any other shoe with an open toe, sadly will not be able to participate in our project.
  • Because we'll be helping to repack food, please wear casual clothing, long pants, securely fastened jewelry, and comfortable (no open-toe) shoes.
  • Dressing in layers is suggested, as the temperature in the warehouse is often cool.

Some Ferry Building Details:
We'll have approximately 2 hours at the Ferry Building to have lunch and shop. There's coffee shops, chocolate shops, cheese shops, an extensive outdoor farmers market and much, much more. Visit FerryBuildingMarketplace.com to find out more.

We'll have you back to VBC by 4pm -- with memories of a day well spent.
